98 – 100
87 – 89
77 – 79
67 – 69
93 – 97
83 – 86

K4-2nd Grade
K4, K5, 1st and 2nd grade students will be assessed by their classroom teachers and by the teachers of special classes. Their report cards will include the following scales based upon their achievement and effort:
1 = Beginning
A STUDENT ACHIEVING THIS LEVEL WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- 2 limited or no understanding of grade-level standards or targeted expectations yet
- a need for additional support to develop knowledge and understanding
- a requirement for further practice and considerable assistance in order to acquire foundational skills
2 = Developing
A STUDENT ACHIEVING THIS LEVEL WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- 2 some progress toward meeting grade-level standards and targeted expectations
- a need for more time and instruction to practice skills before they are consistently independent
- some foundational skills and apply them periodically
3 = Profecient
A STUDENT ACHIEVING THIS LEVEL WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- mastery of grade-level standards and targeted expectations
- application of specific skills to related standards and other content areas
- solid foundational skill for future learning
- communication of understanding to others
- complex reasoning and problem solving
4 = Exceeds
A STUDENT ACHIEVING THIS LEVEL WILL DEMONSTRATE:
- flexible and significant learning consistently above grade-level standards and targeted expectations
- extensions of other subject areas and life situations with depth of knowledge
- high cognitive demand and complex reasoning
- multiple approaches to solving problems.
